The 蜜桃传媒 Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensembles will present their fall concert 8 p.m. Nov. 22 in Deane Chapel, on 蜜桃传媒鈥檚 lower campus. Admission is free.
The Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Emily Sommermann, will perform Vivaldi鈥檚 鈥淒 minor Concerto Grosso,鈥� the 鈥淎dagio鈥� from the First Organ Sonata by Mendelssohn and the famous 鈥淗olberg Suite鈥� by Edvard Grieg.
鈥淚t is exciting to work with this ensemble and to watch these musicians grow,鈥� Sommermann said. 鈥淚t will be a great performance.鈥�
The Wind Ensemble鈥檚 performance, directed by Ron McCarley, will include 鈥淭he Thunderer鈥� by John Philip Sousa, theme music from 鈥淭he Lord of the Rings鈥� by Howard Shore and selections from 鈥淲ater Music Suite鈥� by G.F. Handel.
鈥淭his year鈥檚 group is already playing well together,鈥� McCarley said. 鈥淲e can expect a great concert. The program is very diverse and reflective yet very accessible. It should be a very stimulating and enjoyable evening.鈥�
