The Wallace Emerson Society recognizes alumni, parents, and friends who have included ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ in their wills or estate plans. Society members are vital partners who are passionate about the mission and ministry of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ and wish to sustain its future for generations of students to come. The Society was created in 1993 in honor of the college's founding president, Dr. Wallace Emerson. Now more than 800 members continue that heritage and vision.
The Wallace Emerson Society was created in 1993 with 165 charter members to:
- Recognize and thank friends who have made a provision for ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ in their estate plans
- Build the endowment in order to sustain the college's mission
- Engage members in the life of the college
Members of the Wallace Emerson Society enjoy:
- Annual recognition luncheon on campus
- Invitation to the President's annual Christmas Saturday evening reception and Sunday Tea and four complimentary tickets to attend a concert of your choice.
- Educational materials and resources on estate and tax planning
- The enjoyment and satisfaction of contributing to Westmont's future
You can become a member ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ by:
- Naming ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ in your will or living trust
- Naming ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ as a beneficiary of your IRA or other retirement plan
- Naming ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy
- Giving through a ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ gift annuity
- Creating a charitable trust and naming ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ as a beneficiary
Farsighted alumni, families and friends have used planned gifts to advance ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½'s mission from its earliest years and continue to ensure the college can flourish for future generations of students.
