Basketball
Men鈥檚 basketball (18-12, 14-8) fell in the PacWest Tournament championship game and 铿乶ished shy of receiving a NCAA DII West Regional berth. Aidan Mandel 鈥27, whose 52 blocked shots rank third in program history, won the WESPY Breakout Player. Jarrett Bryant 鈥26 led the team offensively, averaging 15.6 points per game. The team also won for Moment of the Year with an inspired victory over Hawaii Paci铿 c in which Warrior Chase Collins 鈥27 lost a tooth in the 铿乶al second from contact with an opposing player, who was ejected. Transfer Trey Thompson 鈥26 won the Newcomer of the Year WESPY.
Women鈥檚 basketball (21-9, 16-6) concluded a successful season after falling to top-seeded Vanguard in the PacWest Championship
蝉别尘颈铿乶补濒蝉. Lisa Kiefer 鈥26, who repeated as PacWest Defender of the Year, joined Jazmyn Shipp 鈥28 on the All-PacWest Second Team. Molly Garnand 鈥27 received All-Conference honors as a third-team selection. Kiefer concludes her 蜜桃传媒 career in then top-10 of 10 different defensive categories. Sage Kramer 鈥26, who earned the Dean鈥檚 Award at Commencement, 铿乶ished her career with numerous top-10 scoring and rebounding records.
Baseball
The Warrior baseball season (29-21, 25-17) ended at the PacWest Championship Tournament, which 蜜桃传媒 hosted at CarrnField for the 铿乺st time. Isaac Veal 鈥27 powered the offense and led the team with a .347 batting average, .987 OPS, 38 runs and 60 hits. Jesse Di Maggio 鈥28 led the Warriors with 13 HRs and 43 RBIs. Joey Rico 鈥27 and Caden Beloian 鈥27 anchored the pitching staff. In the bullpen, Brandon Tatch 鈥28 (2.42 ERA) picked up eight saves and Josh Hickey 鈥27 (3.16 ERA) posted a 5-1 record. Second-year head coach Paul Svagdis hopes to retain all his starters in 2027. Baseball won the WESPY for Team Service Award.
Tennis
Three men on the Warrior tennis team earned All-Conference Team honors, including Driss Sedrati 鈥27 (Singles Second Team) of Casablanca, Morocco, and Diego De Cooman 鈥26 (Singles Third Team) of Ottignies, Belgium. Sedrati and JD Drake 鈥29 of Shoreline, Washington, made the All-PacWest Doubles Second Team. Jon Ball 鈥28 and Arjun Sivakumar 鈥29 won the WESPY for Dynamic Duo-Men.
The women鈥檚 tennis team, with four starting 铿乺st-year students and a sophomore, 铿乶ished the season winning eight matches for the 铿乺st time since 2022. 鈥淚鈥檓 super proud of the progress we made throughout the season,鈥 said 铿 rst-year head coach Sheila Snyder. 鈥淭hey 铿乶ished the season playing their best tennis.鈥 Sabina Salva 鈥26 won the Captain鈥檚 WESPY.
Golf
In its first-ever NCAA DII West Regional appearance, women鈥檚 golf posted the field鈥檚 best final-round score to climb into a tie for 11th place, led by senior Sydnee Magpoc鈥檚 tournament-low 70. Karis Haltom 鈥27 finished tied for ninth overall, a stroke away from qualifying for the National Championship, capping a historic season for the rising program. Two weeks prior, Hannah Camara 鈥26 became the first 蜜桃传媒 golfer to win a PacWest Conference Individual Championship with a three-day total of 216 (E).
Men鈥檚 golf, which entered the PacWest Conference Tournament as the No. 7 seed, surged to a third-place finish highlighted by a tournament-best final round of 281. Three top-10 individual finishes fueled the team鈥檚 late-season momentum, including freshman Jose Licon鈥檚 bogey-free 67, which led the field on the final day. A month before, Fernando Jimenez 鈥28 posted a one-over-par 217 in three rounds to win the RCA Electric Spring Invitational at the Coyote Creek Golf Club. Nicholas Rocha 鈥28 earned the Captain鈥檚 WESPY.
Track & Field
A memorable season for the track and field teams concluded at the PacWest Championships in San Diego with six All-PacWest performances and numerous personal records. The men secured a fifth-place overall finish with 65 points, led by Gabe LaBorin 鈥27 with a third-place decathlon score of 6,416 points, which featured a world-class 1,500-meter time. Hunter Skoglund 鈥29 earned All-Conference honors in the 1,500 meters, while Joshua Lin 鈥27, who previously broke the 600-meter program record, placed third in the 400 meters with a career-best 48.01. John Sakaguchi 鈥28 leapt to a third-place finish in the long jump, further fueling the men鈥檚 scoring surge. The women鈥檚 team took seventh, headlined by standout Janelle Wanliss 鈥29, whose third-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles met the NCAA provisional qualifying mark. Macy Billinger 鈥29 added to the podium total by claiming third in the pole vault, while captain Charlotte Williams 鈥26 provided career-best performances and steady leadership in the relays. Head coach Russell Smelley praised the team鈥檚 camaraderie and gallant competitive spirit, noting that an array of best performances signals a bright future. Lucas De Dora 鈥26 and Madeleine Koenig 鈥28 won Comeback Players of the Year WESPYs. David Oyebade 鈥26, who won the Dean鈥檚 Award at Commencement, broke college records in hammer throw and weight throw (35 lb).
Swim
Led by a record-breaking performance, the women鈥檚 swimming team secured a sixth-place finish at the Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference Championships. Kimberly Greene 鈥29, who shattered a five-year-old school record in the 1,650-yard freestyle to take fourth and Grace McAnear 鈥27, who finished eighth, both stood on the All-PCSC podium. The two won a WESPY for Dynamic Duo, and Greene, who also broke the program record for 1,000-yard freestyle, earned a second WESPY for Newcomer of the Year. Other highlights included record-breaking performances: Kate Spraul 鈥28 in the 200-yard freestyle; Katlyn McCurtain 鈥26 in the 200-yard backstroke; Noelle Landon 鈥28 in the 100-yard backstroke; and Spraul, McCurtain, Willow Pezone 鈥27 and Daisy Marquardt 鈥26 in the 4x200-yard freestyle relay. The Warriors beat the Nanooks of Alaska Fairbanks for the first time in program history. This thrilling meet in January won the Moment of the Year WESPY.
STUNT
Head Coach Ariana Johnson has amassed an impressive inaugural STUNT team that will launch this fall. One of the fastest-growing women鈥檚 sports in the nation, STUNT combines the athleticism of cheer, dance and gymnastics while celebrating teamwork, precision and strength.
